Village Mantar is an isolated village located on top of Mount Mantar which has an altitude of 650 meters above sea level, the village has a unique history, and there is some form of historical relic’s antiquities. In addition to well-known because of its unique traditions and history, this village is also famous for its unique culture and natural beauty. In almost every side of this mountain you will be able to see the beautiful natural scenery with different background, such as when the sun rises and the sun sets.
To get to the village of Mantar takes patience, as you will pass through the winding and steep climbs, there are two paths that can be taken, namely through the village of Tapir and the village of Klanir – Seteluk Sub- district, West Sumbawa regency. If you take the route from the village of Tapir only takes approximately 35 minutes. And if you take the route from the village of Klanir it will take approximately 50 minutes. Whichever route you take, you will pass through stunning natural scenery. And vehicles headed to the village are the type of 4WD vehicles.
Another uniqueness is what you get in this village is the story of 7 albino people, not just the story.. But you will also be able to see the evidence, i.e. 7 Albino people of all ages.
Mantar villagers believe that the Albino in their village will always in amount to 7 people, no less and no more. This story originated from an agreement between the German and the Javanese as the boat they were traveling in overturned and stranded in the Northwest part of mount Mantar, the venue was renamed BANGKA BELA, or ship that split.

2 twin fruit jars that comes from China is another uniqueness that you can see, the urn is from the time of Ancient China. Until now the famous jars with a wide variety of stories filled with mystical things. Due to the uniqueness and the jars fame, and the local people of Mantar realized that there are some evil efforts of various parties to pick it up, then the villagers of Mantar protect the ancient jars in a small building measuring 1x1 meters in front of the front page Mosque Mantar.
To see the natural beauty of the village of Mantar, you can do a round trip to the surrounding of the villages, on foot or riding horses. The best time to get a spectacular sight is afternoon before the sun sets and morning before the sun rises.
From the western side of the mountain of Mantar you can see the beauty of natural scenery with background of Alas Strait and Lombok Island, Mount Rinjani and small islands as beautiful as the island of Belang, Kenawa Island, Mano Island, Kalong Island, Panjang Island and the island of Paseran.
And at the eastern side of Mount Mantar the awesome Sunrise will be a magnificent sight, because at that time you will feel like being above the clouds.
