Lunyuk is located at the southern end of Sumbawa Regency. The inhabitants are very diverse and grouped in accordance with their respective tribe, some are from Lombok, Bali even there is also Chinese. Most of the Lunyuk's population are farmers and traders. Agricultural land here is very fertile and even most of the supply of existing crops in Sumbawa Regency are came from Lunyuk.

Towards the West from the heart of Town, approximately 15 km to the Western part, the Virgin Beach with white sand, stretched along the shore overlooking the Indian Ocean that has a very big waves during the dry season which is around July to October.
