Going to Rarak is a challenge and the adventures of a very exciting and exhausting, the Rarak’s peak is a beautiful places, where we can see the natural landscape area of West Sumbawa Regency capital Taliwang.
There are two hamlets on Rarak’s peak, namely Gong Datu and Rarak hamlet.. The population here uses Sumbawa language as their daily language, however are slightly different from the dialect of Sumbawa society in General.
The population is about in general are farmers, because their land is very Fertile land, some of their famous agricultural products such as: coffee, Candle nut, and rice.
In addition to a fertile area, this region save the amazing natural beauty, namely Petung Mampis waterfall, located about 3 kilometers from the village. This waterfall has a height of approximately 230 meters. and has two sides, however due to a steep and rocky test their battlefield, would be a difficult thing when we want to see both sides.
To go to this place, there is no Public transport provided, Adventure or trek is the best way. While some traditional peoples still get on the back of the horse to distribute their daily needs.
Be on the back of the horse is on of our option, to offer you the traditional way and feel or experience the primitive way of life.
To reached this unique and amazing village it will takes 2-3 hours trek from Bangkat Monte Village, West Sumbawa.
